2005 can best be described as character building. Freezing conditions in December led to a poor Merlot fruit set, but the small crop delivered good quality. The Pinot Noir crop was half of normal. Chardonnay was not picked at all because the fruit could not sustain our usual quality. Semillon delivered a normal crop.
