2001 was hot and dry through summer and autumn. There was no pressure to pick. These conditions gave us fully ripe fruit with intense flavour. We picked selectively as fruit showed the flavours we want: for example our Pinot Noir was harvested in four pickings. We were pleased with the results of this approach to picking. and have used the same practice in subsequent years.
